Response to Christopher Insole’s Kant and the Divine: From Contemplation to the Moral Law (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2020)

This is a response given at the book launch for Christopher Insole’s Kant and Divine: From Contemplation to Moral Law (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2020), hosted jointly, in November 2020, by Centre Catholic Studies, Durham University, Australian University. The considers gap between textual (as set out Insole), received Kant, reflects on how theologians have been too quick either condemn dismiss (a poorly interpreted) or rehabilitate theological projects, which would opposed to, his deepest philosophical commitments.
